An Instant Data Scraper alternative that writes to Google Sheets on a schedule
Updated
For a quick, free, one-time table export, keep Instant Data Scraper: it's faster and costs nothing Source 1. When the data has to stay current in Google Sheets, BrowseWiz takes a plain-English request, pages through lists, opens each item and fills the sheet. It refreshes the rows on a schedule while Chrome is open, including on sites you're signed into.
Add to Chrome – it's freeTwo messages instead of a weekly export
Here's a job Instant Data Scraper can start but not finish: a list behind your login, over several pages, with details only on each profile, and new names every week. The first message builds the sheet.
Open the exhibitor list on my trade show's attendee portal, where I'm signed in, and go through every page. For each exhibitor, open its profile and get the company name, category and booth. Put one row per exhibitor in a new Google Sheet called Show exhibitors, with a link to each profile and today's date in a First seen column.
Once the sheet is filled, a second message makes it weekly: "Every Monday at 8:00, add exhibitors that aren't in the sheet yet."
The sheet, three Mondays in
One row per exhibitor, in the columns you named. The First seen date shows which run added each row.
| Exhibitor | First seen | Booth | Category | Profile |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Velmora Robotics | Sep 21 | A112 | Robotics | …/e/1042 |
| Tidewell Packaging | Sep 21 | C204 | Packaging | …/e/1057 |
| Quillon Sensors | Sep 28 | B310 | Sensors | …/e/1123 |
| Maplegate Conveyors | Oct 5 | A118 | Conveyors | …/e/1188 |
| Korvanta Software | Oct 5 | D021 | Software | …/e/1191 |
A one-off CSV, or a sheet that stays current
Instant Data Scraper does a lot for free. It guesses the table for you and follows a Next button or an infinite scroll Source 1. It runs in your browser, so it works on pages you're signed into Source 2, and its listing says scraped data doesn't leave your browser Source 1.
The difference shows up the next week. Each Instant Data Scraper run gives you a new file. BrowseWiz keeps one sheet: a scheduled run can read the rows already in it, then add only the new ones or update a row in place.
Where a file falls short when the job repeats:
- It stops at a file. You get XLS, XLSX or CSV Source 1, with every row again. Importing it into Google Sheets and spotting what's new is up to you.
- You run it every time. Its listing describes no schedule Source 1, so fresh data means opening the list and running it again yourself.
- It guesses the table. When the guess is wrong, you try another table or adjust the selection, then rename and filter the columns yourself Source 1, Source 2.
- One list at a time. It pages through a list, but its listing doesn't describe opening each result for details Source 1, such as a booth number that's only on the profile.

Data Miner shows up in the same searches, so it's here too.

From one export to a weekly sheet
Approve the plan
Paste the request into the side panel. BrowseWiz replies with a plan: how it pages through the list, what it opens for each exhibitor and which columns it writes. Nothing runs until you approve. After that, grant tab access and sign in to Google once when asked.
It reads the portal in your Chrome
It opens pages in the BrowseWiz Tabs group, using the sessions you already have, and never asks for your passwords. It creates the sheet in your Google Drive and keeps writing to it. See how the browser agent works.
Ask it to repeat every Monday
Then send the second message: "Every Monday at 8:00, add exhibitors that aren't in the sheet yet." Approve that plan, and it's saved as a scheduled task. While Chrome is open, it runs at the time you set, up to once a day on Free and as often as hourly on Pro and Max. Each run reads the sheet, adds only the new exhibitors, and an alert tells you when it finishes or fails.
Which one fits
Choose Instant Data Scraper if…
- You need one table, once, right now.
- The data sits in a list or table on the page.
- A CSV or Excel file is the end of the job.
Choose Data Miner if…
Choose BrowseWiz if…
- The data belongs in Google Sheets and has to stay current.
- It spans several pages, or each item needs a click to read.
- The site needs your login, and the sheet should refresh on its own while Chrome is open.
Where BrowseWiz isn't the right tool
- One quick table. For a free, one-time export, Instant Data Scraper is faster. BrowseWiz reads each page with an AI model, which takes longer and uses credits.
- Volume. For thousands of URLs, proxies or captchas, use a cloud scraping service.
- Always-on runs. Schedules and monitors run only while Chrome is open. Monitors check about every 5 minutes, not faster.
- Expired logins. Scheduled runs use the sessions in your Chrome. If a site signs you out, a scheduled run lands on the sign-in page until you sign in again in Chrome.
- Exact repeats. Two AI runs can differ in small ways. A link to each source page lets you check any row.
- Your existing sheet. BrowseWiz writes only to spreadsheets it creates, not to one you or a teammate already have. To use its rows elsewhere, pull them in with Google's
IMPORTRANGEfunction Source 7.
What the weekly list costs
Instant Data Scraper costs nothing per page Source 1. The cost is your Monday: open the portal, run it, merge the new rows into your sheet, then open each new exhibitor's profile for the booth number.
Data Miner bills by the page. Opening each profile is an automated crawl, which starts on Solo at $19.99 a month for 500 pages, about 4 cents a page ($19.99 ÷ 500) Source 3. Crawling all 86 profiles every Monday is about 373 pages a month (86 × 52 ÷ 12), plus the list pages.
BrowseWiz doesn't bill by the page. It bills credits for the text the AI model reads and writes. In the pricing page's example, a page of 30,000 characters and a reply of 2,000 characters cost about 7,500 input tokens × 5 + 500 output tokens × 30 ≈ 52,500 credits. Each message also includes the chat so far, so later steps in a long run cost more than earlier ones. See what a run costs.

Questions
It's a Featured Chrome Web Store extension with 4.9 stars from 7.8K ratings, updated August 23, 2026. Flavr Technology, LP publishes it Source 1; its original maker, Web Robots, says it no longer owns it Source 2. It requests access to all websites, tabs, scripting, storage and web requests Source 8. Its listing says scraped data stays in your browser and that it handles web history Source 1. Its privacy policy describes collecting the addresses of pages you visit, with an opt-out in the extension's settings Source 6.
Yes, within one list. Mark the Next button or link, or let it scroll an infinite list, and it combines the pages into one file Source 1, Source 2. Its listing doesn't describe opening each result for details or running on a schedule. BrowseWiz does both and writes the rows into a Google Sheet it creates.
Not directly. It exports XLS, XLSX or CSV files, or you copy the preview and paste it into a sheet Source 1, again each time you want fresh data. Data Miner connects to Google Sheets on paid plans from $19.99 a month Source 3. BrowseWiz writes rows into a Google Sheet it creates and can refresh them on a schedule while Chrome is open.
It depends on the job. For one table on one page, Instant Data Scraper is free and fast Source 1. Data Miner's free plan covers 500 pages a month with shared recipes, though some domains are restricted Source 3. For a Google Sheet that refreshes while Chrome is open, BrowseWiz's free plan includes one scheduled task that runs up to once a day and one page monitor. For thousands of pages, use a paid scraping service.
Yes. ChatGPT Work, OpenAI's agent for multi-step tasks, can create spreadsheets and repeat tasks on a schedule Source 9. It can use the ChatGPT desktop app's built-in browser Source 10; a cloud browser, on paid plans other than Go, that works on sites you sign in to there and keeps working after you close your computer Source 11; or, from the desktop app, the ChatGPT extension, which can read or act on sites where you're already signed in Source 12. ChatGPT agent and Atlas are retired Source 13, Source 14.
Using AI doesn't change the question. Whether collecting data from a site is allowed depends on its terms, the kind of data (personal data often has extra rules), where you are and how you use it. This isn't legal advice: you're responsible for following each site's terms. BrowseWiz reads only pages your browser can open, which doesn't make every use allowed.
Stop exporting the same list every week
Describe the list once. BrowseWiz fills the sheet and adds new rows while Chrome is open. The free plan includes 1 scheduled task and 1 page monitor.
