What Google offers where, as of October 2026

Gemini in Chrome is three things: an assistant that answers about your open tabs, auto browse, which clicks and types through multi-step tasks in Chrome, and tasks in Gemini, which run on a schedule or after an event. Each has its own list of places where Google offers it.

  • EEA and Switzerland: as of October 2026, Google's list of regions for Gemini in Chrome names no EEA country and not Switzerland Source 3. Auto browse needs the US Source 1, and tasks in Gemini exclude the EEA and Switzerland Source 2.
  • UK: as of October 2026, the assistant is offered to users 18 or older Source 3. Auto browse isn't, because it needs the US Source 1, and tasks in Gemini exclude the UK Source 2.
  • US: auto browse needs you to be 18 or older, an English device language, and Google AI Pro or Ultra on a personal account Source 1. Tasks need AI Pro or Ultra too Source 2.
  • BrowseWiz: a Chrome extension from a team in Warsaw, Poland. Its browser agent, scheduled tasks and page monitors work the same in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, with no Google AI plan.

Watch hotel prices for a trip

Google's help page pitches tasks in Gemini for this job: watching flight and hotel prices and alerting you when they drop within your budget Source 2. Where tasks aren't offered, BrowseWiz runs it in your Chrome. Ask once in chat:

What you type

Open the booking pages of Casa Alfama, Hotel Ribeira and Miradouro Suites in Lisbon for 12–14 March. Put each hotel's nightly price for a double room, whether it has free cancellation, when you checked and a link to the page in a new Google Sheet.

BrowseWiz reads each page as your Chrome shows it, so prices come in the currency the site shows you.

What lands in your sheet

Example: Double rooms in Lisbon, 12–14 March

Casa Alfama€142YesMar 2, 8:01 AMcasa-alfama.example/rooms
Hotel Ribeira€168NoMar 2, 8:03 AMhotel-ribeira.example/book
Miradouro Suites€131YesMar 2, 8:04 AMmiradouro.example/stay

How BrowseWiz keeps the prices current

  1. Ask once in chat

Paste the request and approve the plan. BrowseWiz opens the hotel pages in your Chrome. The first time, grant tab access and sign in to Google when it asks, and it creates the sheet in your Drive.

  2. Check every morning

After that first run, click Update this sheet daily above the chat box, give it a time such as 8:00 and say to update the same rows. Approving the new plan saves it as a scheduled task.

  3. Get told when a price drops

Give a page monitor one hotel's booking page and a sentence, such as "the double room drops below €130". It checks about every 5 minutes while Chrome is open and alerts you only when that happens.

Which one to choose

Choose Gemini in Chrome if…

  • You're in the US and already pay for Google AI Pro or Ultra: auto browse is included, up to 20 or 200 requests a day Source 1.
  • You live where tasks in Gemini are offered and want them to start after an event, not only at a set time Source 2.
  • Your work is in Gmail, Calendar, Docs and Drive, which tasks can use as Connected Apps Source 2.
  • You're in the UK, where the assistant is offered as of October 2026 Source 3, and want it to answer about up to 10 of your open tabs Source 5.

Choose BrowseWiz if…

  • You're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland and want a browser agent that runs on a schedule.
  • You don't want a Google AI plan to automate your browser.
  • You want a daily scheduled task and a page monitor on a free plan.
  • You want a Google Sheet kept current from sites you sign into, with a source link on each row.

Where BrowseWiz falls short

  • Chrome has to stay open for schedules and monitors. Nothing runs with your laptop closed.
  • A scheduled task runs at a set time, up to once a day. Tasks in Gemini can also start after an event Source 2.
  • It doesn't read your Gmail, Docs or Drive files. It writes to a sheet and a calendar it creates, not to ones you already have.
  • Monitors check about every 5 minutes, not faster, and only while Chrome is open.
  • The browser agent, schedules and monitors use BrowseWiz Chat, the built-in model, not Gemini.
  • An AI agent reads each page fresh, so two runs can differ. Spot-check the rows that matter.

What BrowseWiz costs

Start on Free: it includes 10M credits a month, 1 daily scheduled task and 1 page monitor, with no Google AI plan. Credit use depends on how much page text a run reads. One BrowseWiz Chat call that reads a 30,000-character page (about 7,500 input tokens) and writes 500 tokens costs 7,500 × 5 + 500 × 30 ≈ 52,500 credits.
