Attachments

Messages to AI models can be enriched with contextual data by attaching content to your message. You can attach:

• Active Page — the content of your currently open tab
• Selected Text — text you've highlighted on the active page
• File(s) — documents, code files, or images from your computer
• Screenshot — a captured area of the active page

Attachments provide the AI with additional context so it can give more relevant and accurate responses based on what you're actually looking at or working with.

How to attach

• Click the Attachment(s) (paperclip) button under the chat input and choose Choose a file(s), Current tab text content or Selected text.
• Drag files or links onto the chat input, or paste an image into it.
• Click the Screenshot (scissors) button to capture an area of the page.

Nothing is attached automatically. You can attach several items to one message, for example two pages: attach one tab, switch to the other and attach it too. Apart from Too long document(s)., which shows when the attachments have more text than the selected model can read, there is no limit on the number or size of files.

Text dragged onto the chat messages, above the input rather than onto the input itself, isn't attached: it becomes a note message.

What the AI sees

Attached items show above the chat input. They stay there after you send, until you remove them with the × on each item or close the side panel, and each message you send goes with the items shown above the input at that moment. Earlier messages in the chat are sent to the AI as text only: an attachment you removed, or one from before the side panel was closed, isn't sent again, so attach it again if a later question needs it.

A message needs text: attachments alone, without a message, aren't sent.

Only the main page of a tab is read, not the frames embedded in it (iframes).

Notices

• "Could not get the text from the page. Browser policies may be blocking it." The page's text can't be read, for example on a page the browser protects.
• "No text selected." Selected text was chosen, but no text is selected on the page.
• "Unsupported format or corrupted file." A file can't be read. Nothing is attached.
• "No valid images found in the clipboard." The pasted item isn't an image BrowseWiz can attach.
• "All files are already attached" or "Some files were already attached and have been ignored": files with the same name as an attached file are skipped.
• "No valid files or URLs found in the dropped items." Nothing in what you dropped can be attached.
• "Too long document(s)." The attachments have more text than the selected model can read.
